New Music Video: Innocence by Lyndol Descant (Snow's Falling)

Snow’s falling, outside and I’m feeling the warmth of your love as we hide inside.

I just dropped this video last week, after a huge blizzard hit NYC on Monday. Then we got punched again with snow yesterday. It’s a cold mess, but it’s also so beautiful. I saw a sunset last night I’ve never seen before, pink sky on top of white snow. Wow!

Being born and raised in Texas, snow has always been magical to me. I wrote the song Innocence when I experienced my first NYC blizzard about 10 years ago. I was AMAZED at how peaceful and quiet the city becomes when it snows like that; A quiet storm raging to such a delicate and gorgeous effect.

At the time, I was reading about innocence and how so many are plagued with guilt about one thing or another. But when I saw that snow piling up outside, I was instantly transformed into a child again. Joyful and lighthearted, having left all my worries and guilt behind. It was a fresh start for me.

A decade later, I am still in love with snow and with this song. This is my own self production, as it’s a song i haven’t yet played or worked with other on. It’s just been my secret snow song til now. I felt it important to share, with those who never see snow, and those struggling with their own guilt. It’s a song about love, a song about innocence and a song about self forgiveness. It’s all connected in the end, just like we are all connected in the end.

Every day we get a new chance to be redeemed. And when the snow falls, and everything goes white… it’s the easiest days of the year to take that chance with both hands and be grateful.
